This intensive, 2 and 1/2 day course offers a solid foundation for building a highly effective ethics and compliance (E&C) program in any organization. This course is geared toward those who are either new to the field or recently moved into a position in ethics and compliance—or those who want to gain a fresh perspective and systematic approach to enhancing an existing program.
Course highlights include:
- ten essential tools for taking your E&C program to the next level
- taught through lecture and discussion;
- large-group brainstorming; and
- interactive, small-group activities that engage participants in real-life scenarios that ethics and compliance officers face on a daily basis.
The course agenda cover issues related to:
- ethical and legal risk assessment;
- organizational governance;
- training and communications;
- investigations;
- synergistic interrelationship of ethics and compliance;
- social responsibility spectrum;
- the history of organizational ethics and compliance; and
- E&C program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
A special feature of this course is a one-on-one consultation with an experienced E&C officer to discuss specific issues or challenges that participants face in their own organizations.
DISTINGUISHED PRESENTERS
Led by two co-facilitators with senior-level experience in ethics and compliance, Keith Darcy, executive director, Ethics and Compliance Officer Association, and Jo Pease, ECOA emeritus member (and former chief compliance officer, Shell Oil Company). Keith and Jo integrate other senior-level ethics and compliance officers into the course as guest speakers and serve as subject-matter experts.
