Introduction to Ethics and Compliance:

The Ten Tools That Are Part of Every Successful Ethics and Compliance Program

This intensive, 2 and 1/2 day course offers a solid foundation for building a highly effective ethics and compliance (E&C) program in any organization. It is geared toward those who are either new to the field or recently moved into a position in ethics and compliance—or those who want to gain a fresh perspective and systematic approach to enhancing an existing program.

Course highlights include:

  • ten essential tools for taking your E&C program to the next level;
  • taught through lecture and discussion;
  • large-group brainstorming; and
  • interactive, small-group activities that engage participants in real-life scenarios that ethics and compliance officers face on a daily basis.

The course agenda covers issues related to:

  • ethical and legal risk assessment;
  • organizational governance;
  • training and communications;
  • investigations;
  • synergistic interrelationship of ethics and compliance;
  • social responsibility spectrum;
  • the history of organizational ethics and compliance; and
  • E&C program planning, implementation, and evaluation.

A special feature of this course is a one-on-one consultation with an experienced E&C officer to discuss specific issues or challenges that participants face in their own organizations.
