COURSE DESCRIPTION
ECOA Ethics School focuses on the principal underpinnings of organizational ethics, as well as research from the behavioral sciences that informs the field. The course topics include ethical reasoning, decision-making, and culture-building—all set in a highly practical context relevant to any E&C practitioner.
It is designed for ethics and compliance practitioners who want a thorough grounding in organizational ethics, an understanding of how ethics can enhance and deepen compliance endeavors, and an opportunity to try strategies for integrating and embedding ethics and compliance in their organization.
The program director is Thomas I. White, PhD, the Conrad N. Hilton Professor in Business Ethics and director of the Center for Ethics and Business at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He is the author of five books, including Right and Wrong, Discovering Philosophy, and Business Ethics, as well as numerous articles on topics ranging from sixteenth-century Renaissance humanism to business ethics.
