While it is uncommon for the ECOA to devote an entire conference to a single topic, there is no subject of greater interest to our members at this time than achieving an ethical culture within their organizations. Not only is it the most significant challenge facing many ECOA members, it is probably the most common topic on the minds of government officials who contact ECOA management.

Join the ECOA as it explores the dynamic building blocks used to foster a living, breathing, ethical culture within any organization. Leading speakers will detail the latest strategies used by private and public organizations--as well as the research of academicians who have investigated the effectiveness of these strategies--to build and maintain an ethical organizational culture. Discover first-hand from ethics and compliance practitioners and other senior executives the challenges they face and the successes they have achieved by addressing ethics in their organization's culture.

Speakers will include:

  • Mary Brainerd, CEO, HealthPartners
  • B. Todd Jones, United States Attorney, District of Minnesota
  • Chris Puto, Dean, Opus College of Business, University of St. Thomas
  • Dean Maines, SAIP Institute
  • David Gebler, The Skout Group
  • Laura Lonsdale, Tyco International
  • Ron James, Center for Ethical Business Cultures
  • Dick Pettingill, 2010 Advanced Leadership Initiative Fellow, Harvard University and former CEO of Allina Health System
  • Andrew Duff, CEO, Piper Jaffray
  • Jim Chosy, GC, Piper Jaffray
  • Ken Goodpaster, University of St. Thomas
  • Jim Post, Boston University
  • Kathleen Edmond, Chief Ethics Officer, Best Buy
