2012 ECOA Asia Symposium

The 2012 ECOA Asia Symposium assembles ethics and compliance practitioners for productive dialogue on compelling issues. Join us and benefit from the learning and networking opportunities that arise when members of our community throughout Asia gather to share challenges, ideas, and global best practices in ethics program development and management.
Agenda Highlights Include...
Interactive Plenary Sessions
Ethics and Compliance across Asia
Can an organization's approaches to managing ethics, compliance, corporate governance, and social responsibility be successfully integrated? What is the role of the E&C practitioner in such a whole-system approach? What can the rest of the world learn from the experiences of Asian companies as well as multinational organizations that do business in Asia? Through interactive dialogue and case-study analysis, participants will discuss these and other relevant topics for a deeper understanding of the importance that ethics and compliance play in business today.
Anti-corruption Efforts around the World: What you need to know about responding to the risks affecting your organization
From the 2010 U.K. Bribery Act to the U.S. FCPA to other country-specific statutes, how are increased anti-corruption efforts by enforcement authorities around the world affecting business in Asia and beyond? In addition to highlighting specific statutes, agreements, and regulations, attendees will learn and share best practices in organizational anti-bribery training and communications to mitigate risk and protect reputation.
2012 and Beyond: Continuing the global conversation
The first step toward successfully harmonizing multiple approaches and points of view is to share and discuss them. In this, the symposium's final session, attendees will identify best practices and other helpful tools that ethics and compliance practitioners throughout Asia, and around the world, can use to enhance their organizations' business conduct efforts.
