ECOA GLOBAL NETWORK—SERVING MEMBERS WORLDWIDE

The Ethics and Compliance Officer Association (ECOA), founded in 1992, is the oldest and most-established organization of ethics, compliance, and integrity practitioners in the world. Though it is headquartered in the United States, over many years the ECOA has earned a sterling reputation as a global organization that helps its members understand their roles from a fully multilateral and multicultural perspective. It is widely regarded for promoting values-based programs as a "best practice" and a necessary complement to organizations with legalistic compliance programs. Created by and for ethics, compliance, and integrity officers—no other persons can be members or board members—the ECOA is the world leader in defining the future of its field.

With more than 1,200 members located in over-30 countries (serving employees in more than 190 countries), the ECOA offers an unmatched network of ethics, compliance, and integrity practitioners. Its members represent a truly special community that shares with one another, collaborates with one another, and learns from one another, all while collectively advancing the ethics, compliance, and integrity field to its next level. Leveraging the ECOA’s unparalleled electronic resources, its face-to-face conferences, and its distance-learning professional development courses, members help each other tackle on-the-job challenges and grow professionally.

The ECOA distinguishes itself with its global perspective. Among the benefits and services it offers members are:

A Global Business Interest Group: Members around the world meet bi-monthly by teleconference—at no cost—to discuss important ethics, compliance, and integrity issues impacting their daily responsibilities.

ECOA Connects: The ECOA’s online, members-only networking and resource center features a special global portal that tracks research, surveys, articles, and reports, as well as hosts subject-specific discussion groups, of interest to members with a multinational perspective.

Global Strategy Committee, ECOA Board of Directors: To ensure the ECOA always reflects a world view in its events and programming, the Board of Directors in 2008 created a board-level committee to define a distinct, global strategy and ensure it is reflected in all ECOA initiatives.

European Business Ethics Forum (EBEF): Along with our European alliance partners, the ECOA co-sponsors EBEF, which attracts ethics, compliance, and integrity officers from throughout Europe and beyond.

ECOA Daily News and ECOA Weekly NewsWatch: Members have easy, free access to current ethics, compliance, and integrity news articles written by journalists from the most highly regarded publications around the world.

Public affairs: The ECOA tracks ethics, compliance, and integrity developments worldwide and then helps its members voice their public policy views.

Professional education: At the ECOA’s Annual Ethics and Compliance Conference each fall, the hundreds of registrants can choose to attend only transnational sessions via our Global Track.
