Building & Benefiting from an Ethical Organizational Culture

April 1-3, 2009
Hilton Palacio del Rio
San Antonio, TX

The Ethics and Compliance Officer Association (ECOA) is partnering with the Greehey School of Business at St. Mary's University, San Antonio, for the first-ever "Building and Benefiting from an Ethical Organizational Culture" conference. It starts Wednesday evening, April 1, with a reception from 6-8 p.m  — and ends Friday, April 3, with a take-away lunch.

While it is uncommon for the ECOA, in its 17-year history, to devote an entire conference to a single topic, there is a no subject of greater interest to our members at this time than achieving an ethical culture within their organizations.  Not only is it the most-significant challenge facing many ECOA members, it is probably the most-common topic on the minds of government officials who contact ECOA management.

This 1¾-day conference features CEO keynote presentations as well as concurrent and plenary sessions similar to other ECOA conferences.  The location is San Antonio's scenic riverwalk, at the Hilton Palacio del Rio Hotel.  Topics being addressed include:

  • Defining and measuring what an ethical culture is.
  • Tying ethical culture to a corporation's business strategy.
  • What organizations exist as exemplars in achieving an ethical culture?
  • How to sustain an ethical culture during times of executive transition.

Priced at $900 for Sponsoring Partner members and only $975 for Basic members,"Building and Benefiting from an Ethical Organizational Culture' is the ECOA's best educational value in 2009.  For information on how your organization can become a conference sponsor, please contact Janel Heilbrunn at (781) 647-9333 or at jheilbrunn@theecoa.org.  Otherwise, all members will soon receive an e-mail invitation detailing the conference agenda and other key logistics.  Until the e-mail arrives, please call 781-647-9333 for more information.
